I liked Bauer when he was just that guy who fought with the Diamondbacks coaching staff because he wanted to keep doing long toss and doing the whole driveline baseball thing. He had a thing. It was data driven, and it had worked for him in the past. So I got why he wanted to give it another shot before tweaking everything. Then he got traded to Cleveland.

That would violate his contract, and I think the KBO and NPB have an agreement that suspended players aren't allowed. He would have to retire from MLB.

Imagine reading a news story about a murderer and then thinking, "cripes, it's like a guy can't even be a murderer these days!!!" Extreme example, but like you said, who the horsefeathers reads about what Bauer was accused of and what he admitted to and then worries that they might be next?
