They have an absolutely murderous 1-2 punch we need to avoid, and today is the debut for their SP, which rarely turn out well for us.

2 things I'm a little nervous over.

Nick and Winker are both due for some serious regression, they aren’t that good of hitters. Hopefully it starts this weekend.

haven't seen the Bote HR yet but given the wind and the discussion of the ball Joc hit, should I assume that Bote's hit would have gone 500 ft on a normal day? Or was it just a line drive?

statcast has it as a 110mph line drive

Yeah it was screaming on a line, one of those that probably didn't get much higher and the bleachers so the wind didn't kill it

Marquee should probably do some quality control before posting Tweets that are from Cincinnati-based users who use the hashtag #ATOBTTR (And This One Belongs to the Reds)

Kimbrel definitely got a new hat for today’s game. There’s definitely something in the same spot, it’s just not nearly as blatant as normal.

His hat is a nothing burger problem

I think someone was asking the other day about the record for longest scoreless stretch for a bullpen. I couldn't find it, but I did see this after the game:

That's insane. Gotta give a lot of credit to the Theo and Jed for figuring out a way to build a very strong bullpen from scraps (and Kimbrel). I mean people like Tommy Nance coming in from the fringes of professional baseball and becoming a key contributor in close games, prospects who toiled in the minors like Steele figuring it out and becoming key pieces (Steele had some success in low minors but the last time we saw him he had a 5.50 ERA in AA). Crazy to see.

ML record is 44. But I haven't been able to find the NL record, which I bet we are approaching.
