Lot of credit to Jake for keeping it at one, but someone should probably tell him he can relax because losing by one or losing by 5 is still a loss.

It probably doesn't mean a lot in terms of wins and losses over the course of a season, but the drop off from Caratini to Romine seems significant.

I think this is easily the best Jake has looked all year. The starts prior to this have been very much like latter day Jon Lester. Escaping jams by the skin of his teeth. But today he's missing bats and getting grounders. Really encouraging.

Cubs lost yesterday 4-3 and are losing today 1-0. The Cubs have walked/HBP 3 runs in during those 2 games ugh

 

At least we’re still winning the aggregate for the series 18-7
