I feel bad for young White Sox players.

It's like Rinesdorf decided he needed an overseer. This is probably one of the worst managerial decisions since the Cubs hired Dusty.

Whoa, for as much as Dusty deserves flak, this hiring is on a whole other level than any of the teams who hired Dusty, let alone the Cubs.

Ok, worse than any offer to any manager since the College of Coaches.

Its the worst strategic blunder made since Hitler decided to fight a two-front war in Europe.

Who wants to take bets that they have a worse winning % next year?

I definitely can see it. Keuchel, Grandal and Abreu are all a year older, still a ton of young and unproven/unknown pitching (which can go a lot of ways but has kinda busted so far). Then a guy like Anderson probably regresses since it’s hard to run BABIPS at the levels he has in 19 and 20 repeatedly (high .300 BABIPS are tough with his swing and miss profile and good but not like Ichiro/Juan Pierre speed, even like a .320 BABIP and his numbers aren’t special). So will be interesting how much LaRussa gets blamed for that vs it being just some natural correction.

Let's not forget that if it's a full season, they will have to play all of the A.L. teams instead of the bottom feeders in the Central division.

Still get the Orioles, Red Sox, Ranges, Mariners, etc. But yeah.

Hopefully none of it and Rick Hahn is the fall guy and comes and leads the Cubs to their next WS after trading for whatever Sox are still good.

thing is most of the posters there are pissed about the hiring (or at least they were yesterday). but the people who run this site aren't all there

I'm mostly of the opinion that at that age you shouldn't even have a license/be able to drive. It took us a couple years and several fender benders and semi-conscious episodes to finally wrest the car from my grandpa. Around the end of his 70s we knew we were sending a threat to public safety out on the road but he wasn't hearing it. Luckily he didn't hurt anyone.

TLR looks like he's on deaths doorstep. Revoke his horsefeathering driving privileges.
