An idea I heard mentioned with all the cancelations. Extend regular season a week and have 2 hub cities for the playoffs. Both would be dome stadiums. I know it isn't a popular idea with the players and owners but I don't see how they are going to get all these teams to 60 games

I think they have to bubble for the playoffs. Otherwise, they are going to have forfeits with positive cases. What are the odds right now on them even making it to the playoffs?

Just cancel the season for the Cardinals, base the playoffs on winning percentage as some teams will have played only 50-57 games

Agree but every team should have to hit a benchmark. Especially COVID teams. If they fail to reach say 52-55 games every game short counts as a loss.

Marlins bilked taxpayers out of millions of dollars and only got scolded for it....COVID outbreak

Cardinals illegally hacked into another team's servers and only got a slap on the wrist....COVID outbreak

Watch out Astros and Red Sox.

I was thinking this too - if teams are caught breaking rules and they have a COVID outbreak, they should forfeit.

I'm curious if the league is going to really commit to winning percentage determing playoff spots if there's a massive games played discrepancy. Like if the Cubs go 37-23 (.617), and the Cards go 25-15 (.625), are you *really* going to give the Cards the division?

The Marlins are leading the N.L. East 2 @ .875.

Wasn’t the whole point of the massive taxi squad so the teams could keep playing? Sorry your team has to quarantine for a week and you have to play your taxi squad but I guess your players/staff should have been more careful. Now teams that didn’t do anything wrong have their schedule thrown out of whack.

I don’t really understand why the Marlins are having to put together a random collection of minor leaguers but the Cardinals get to just postpone games. Make the fucks play with all minor leaguers or forfeit.
