Something fun to think about, Jerry Reinsdorf (owner of two sports franchises), hasn't fired the person in charge of either in over 20 years. Since 2000 the White Sox have won their division 3 times with 1 World Series Championship and the Bulls have won their division 2 times.

no need to spend money on an executive search firm when your current management is achieving R.O.E. goals.

It's actually probably more like 30 years or more, because it looks like the guy before Kenny was also bumped up to SVP.

Worst thing is that it doesnt seem like his sons are deviating much from his path. Hopefully its like the Bill/Rocky Wirtz relationship where he abided by his father's outdated wishes until he passed and then completely overhauled the organization.

Or it can be an Al Davis/Mark Davis situation where the terrible haircutted spawn are just as bad as the father

Hey, don't look now but the Raiders are semi-respectable this season.

Oakland has flirted with bouts of respectability before. The bad hair equilibrium will correct itself soon enough.

I like getting a variety. I think this jersey would have looked better with last years color scheme, and last years Chicago flag theme would look better with this years color scheme.

Semi-related - I hope that with Nike taking over MLB uniforms that they move players weekend uniforms to more like the NBA City Edition with them being different for each team.

Worst city uni yet

the white ones from two years ago were great -- i wish they would have just adopted those as their regular white jersey. last year's were good too. these aren't it.

all our important young players other than wendell are awful.

I think Coby White has a lot potential and will keep improving over the course of the season. Lauri looks bad, but I think he's playing through an injury. LaVine hasn't taken the next step forward or improved on defense, but he is trying harder and is still super young himself. I think we have a good foundation. We need a new head coach and obviously GarPax needs to go and be replaced with a younger progressive exec...

Anyway, some nice highlights from Coby below:

Holy horsefeathers that was incredible. I’m glad I decided to watch the end of this. Lavine with 49 wow

I saw they were down 7 with under 30 left and just assumed they would lose, so I didn't watch. Bummer.

Teams were 9-15,266 when trailing by at least 8 points in the final minute of the fourth quarter over the last 20 seasons, a 0.059% winning percentage.
