Why are the Bears -2.5 at home? Seems like a sucker line. As bad as the Dolphins are, +16 at home seems tempting.

It opened at -3, I would surmise a lot of early money on Minnesota.

I wouldn't bet any games involving the Dolphins

I would bet the Chargers if I had to. If the Dolphins don't beat the Redskins at home, I think they go 0-16.

Do they get the Jets at all without Darnold? That would be my only other guess as a chance for them to win.

Nah, they host them 11/3, on the road 12/8. I guess they could beat the Bengals in game 15, depending on which team needs the loss more.

Jordan Howard sure looked good last night. Caught a screen pass for a TD. Ran well. Not sure how his accomplishments offensively don't fit Nagy's system. You are welcome, Philadelphia.

He had one good season and was probably the worst 'feature' running back in the league last year (maybe Carlos Hyde was worse). Glad to see he had one good game with the Eagles, though.

Tough one for the Packers last night when you consider the injuries. Adams is so key for their offense.

Hey he's still probably better than Mike Davis which would be about the difference of 1 or 2 rounds in the draft this year (the pick for Howard at 5 or 6 vs a comp 4 for Amos), and you'd still maybe get comp for just letting him walk in FA.

I never liked losing Howard, but Monty has lessened that blow. Now if we can dump Davis, I'm not a fan

I felt that Howard's usage by Nagy's playbook is why Howard was rated so poorly. Howard in the game= running play or pass to potentially anyone not named Jordan Howard. Cohen in the game=more likely a pass play. Howard was open on check downs repeatedly and ignored as an option time and again. Screen plays were just not an option when Howard was in the game, allowing the safeties to key on the run between the tackles. That predictability lessened the strength of the running game and eliminated a potential backfield threat in the passing game.

Carolina went 0-2 at home with Cam Newton, has now gone 2-0 on the road with Kyle Allen. This all makes perfect sense.

Patriots have a +121 point differential

On the surface, this may seem impressive. But in four of their wins, their point differential is +115. The combined

record of those 4 opponents: 1-17. And the point differential of those four teams is -242.

The one game they played against a "decent team, Buffalo (4-1), they won by less than a TD.

So really not that impressive.

The Pats are a very good team and excellent franchise, but they benefit every season that B&B have been there by playing 6 games against perrenial dregs, and 2 games against third and fourth place teams in the AFC and NFC. Just the 6 games in their own division almost assure them of a playoff spot at worst, and HFA. Is it any wonder they've got so many SB appearances?

I wish we could play 4 games against the Dolphins and the Jets every year
