Nico has 6 HRs in 375 minor league PAs. Crazy what he’s doing. 2 weeks ago his season was essentially over. Now he’s hitting dongs in a major league playoff race

So, basically he’s doing what we expect from Cardinal prospects, lol.

So are they planning on using up all their scoring for the remainder of the season in the last 24 hours. Awful generous if so

Yeah, his history implies this power is a bit of an aberration, but I'll definitely take it. Having said that, I didn't really pay much attention to him in the minors, and the swing looks like he should hit for more than he has. Any scouts think he may have power potential that's just never materialized so far?

Didn’t the Pirates win 3 out of 4 against us like a couple weeks ago? This team now looks like it’s in full surrender mode

That was pre-ASB. They’ve been dogshit since the break.

This will be 7 wins out of 8 for us against them.

The Cubs insisted there was untapped power when they drafted him.

I think he optimistically projected as a 15-20 HR guy (maybe more in juiced ball environment), there was power to tap in to there, Cubs even said it on draft day. Some reasons for such low power numbers for him in the minors is that they did have to do a swing rework for him to add launch, the lower minors don’t have the juiced ball and have some horsefeathers hitters parks (he never reached AAA) and he also had a wrist/arm injury for a good chunk of the year that likely kept power down.

Caratini becomes the 10th Cubs player to hit double digit HRs this year. The only other person that has a shot is the douchebag infielder who has 9
