So I think we can all agree that the last two days have been enjoyable (maybe not the first 7 innings on Sunday but I'm not going to nitpick).

Teheran pitched well against the Cubs in Atlanta but things didn't go so well for him tonight. Let's do the same thing to Fried. Keep that payback coming.

Go Cubs!

Super excited for this game. Alzolay needs to spot the fastball a little bit better and maybe not rely on the changeup as much. He threw some good ones in his debut, but it's his third best pitch. I'm glad he has confidence in the pitch now. Also, he works at a high tempo and maybe needs to slow down and collect himself at times in critical moments. Works too fast sometimes.

I'm pretty sure opposing hitters are going to step out of the box and try to mess up his rhythm. Hopefully, it doesn't bother him or affect him.

Just my two cents from watching him pitch in the minors.

I know he's a lefty, but Fried's career splits vs lefties aren't impressive. I think I would've played a red-hot Heyward tonight.

Hell, just play him and Almora no matter what so that Heyward stays in RF and Russell stays out of the lineup (with Bryant back at 3B and Bote at 2B). The only way Russell should be in there at this point is to give Baez a day off.

It's so frustrating that this line up is pretty interesting top to bottom with the exception of one black hole we have to fill with garbage, and there are at least two players in AAA who would fit in the field and at least make it a 'well it's not a great solution, but I'm at least paying attention' situation. I mean, this Garcia dude can't be worse than DD at second base.

If anyone cares, a quick storm blew through there about 20 minutes ago, and took most of the wind with it. Don't think it'll be a crazy night there in terms of that.
