Don’t know if the numbers support it, but power wise since he’s been with us he always seems to start slow. Like sure he probably should have a gap or down the line double or 5 by now but it seems like the ball is kinda dead off his bat power wise the first 1.5 months of the year or so in my mind.

Yeah I don’t like that one. It was not close. I thought initially on the steal attempt maybe they had that guy stealing second gets in a rundown to try and have the 3B guy steal home play on, but with Rizzo at 3B that probably wouldn’t have worked. Should’ve just stayed put and let the WPA king do his thing.

Schwarber is definitely getting sent down for Russell next week, which is infuriating for a couple reasons (1. Russell in general and 2. Almora still exists)...but man, he is making that decision pretty easy right now.

Unless they want him to hit a reset button and work on stuff I’d assume Zagunis is going down for Russell, if/when he comes up. Though Schwarbs should be in consideration and Almora just needs to go away for anything.

Yeah kinda forgot about him, good point. At this point all three could probably use a send down (Schwarber for a quick reset/consistent ABs and Almora and Zagunis because they belong there)...will be interesting to see which direction they go.

Was glancing up while runner was at 3rd to see if he was going and ball went under his glove.

One hopper Baez fielded to the glove side, hit the pocket of the glove and slipped out because of how much velocity it had. Not the type of error you see in MLB too often, especially for someone like Javy

I didn't see it hit the pocket, just the bottom of it while his head was glancing to third.
