Bang up job managing the pen this inning, Joe. Going to Randy in a 1 run game is inexcusable and if Ryan was gonna come in anyways/available start the [expletive] inning with him.

I can't disagree with anything you said.

 

That said, I always look at the bigger factors. Meaning, the Cubs haven't scored a run. Had you given me the Dodgers scoring two runs this game, I would have locked that in and taken it and felt we had a nice chance to win.

Yeah, seems odd to be bitching about Joe mismanaging the bullpen when they gave up 1 run and we are heading to the bottom of the 9th down 2-0.

It was a 1-0 game, don’t treat like we’re up or down 7 and bring in the worst reliever to start an inning. Especially when you end up just bringing in the better lefty anyways to replace him who was clearly available but had a mess to clean up. Joe’s shitty management directly led to 1 run being scored there.
