I think next year will finally be the year I won't get fooled into thinking the Nationals are a legitimate threat heading into a season.

This is pretty much exactly the opposite how I thought the season would go so far. I guess Bryce struggling does make sense, he looks lost.

Glad to be proven well wrong. The cubs seem impervious to all the sideshow off the field stuff.

i just looked up the brewers schedule until the asb vs ours. not fun.

12 of their 17 series going in to the ASB are vs .500 or better teams and like 3 of the sub .500 team series are vs the Reds who are due for a bit of a bounce.

Their average opponent weighted for games played is 20.6-21.3 while ours is 21.8-20.6. So basically our opponents are all of a game better on average.

We're 22-7 in our last 29 games, we lose one game in extras to the Reds and you're worried about the schedule? Oh, and in that stretch, we won series against the Pirates, Dbacks, Dodgers, DBacks, Cardinals and Brewers, all of whom are over .500. And we also swept Seattle (22-23) in a two-gamer. The only bad team we played was Miami and we went 6-1.

The Vaunted Brewers have scored on Raisel Iglesias in the 9th to win the game, beat the Reds and Castillo, scored 5 in 4 to tag de Grom with a loss, scored 5 in 5 to tag Syndergaard with a loss, won the game Scherzer pitched, beat Strasburg by scoring 4 in 6.2, and knocked Nola out of the game after just 3 innings (although they lost).

Not interested in hearing how tough the Cubs schedule is or who is pitching. Just win

most of this is because the pirates (-47 differential) are 21-19 right now

they've had the 2nd hardest schedule in baseball, which is the point

Also, I believe the Cubs have one of the top 2 records so far against teams better than .500.

14-10, third best winning percentage in the majors behind Philly and the Dodgers.

Eh, the schedule isn’t that soft. Plus they’re division games. We got swept in a 4 game series in Cincy last year and baseball happens. They have plenty of toughish series going in to the ASB.

Side note. Have you checked our last week of June until last week of July schedule??? We go Reds, Rats, White Sox, ASB, Rats, Reds, Padres, Giants. With 3 off days + the ASB. It all evens out. We’re the better team.

So we’ve had the hardest schedule (going off the previous post of how we've had the harder schedule to date) and we are better?
