Good thing we didn’t cut that hunk of horsefeathers Parkey months ago, right? It was just one bad game, right. horsefeathers him right in the ass.

So not only he hit the uprights 5 times this season, not 1 of them got through. What's the horsefeathering odds on that? Of course he kick right down the middle on the first try. Why the hell can't you do the exact same kick?

Would you play the odds and keep him? Im ready to draft high on a kicker

Drafting kickers is dumber than bringing back the guy who hit an upright 5 times in a season.

we would have beaten the vikings easily

You keep saying this like a team of professional athletes would EVER lose a game on purpose.

Do you understand that backup players are generally less good than the players who start?

But yeah its a ridiculous argument because i wanted the bears to win regardless last week. But I am fine with pointing out that we easily could have played the vikings today and the vikings suck and we would have beaten them easily

I'm fine with either draft or just get a vet min type guy. They can't be worse than what we got this season and granted, Parkey won't do it again, but he had his chance. It's not like a Gould, Crosby, Gostkowski type of situation where they've been on the team for a few years so you would stand by your K. If I was Pace, I would cut him tomorrow.

Mitch isn’t the guy

That’s your takeaway from the game??

No, my takeaway is parkey is a cartoon character.

But we’ll also spend 10 years Flaccoing our way through the Trubisky years.

Oh my goodness that's so perfect I'm not even mad. That's the best way to end a season *ever*

You cut yourself, don't you?

Not too disappointed, yes, almost every pro-kicker would have made the FG but, was not expecting this season. They've got a good chance to dominate the North again, Mitch is going to improve, the arrow is certainly up.

I feel pretty comfortable that Parkey will rebound and be an above average kicker next year, as long as it's not with the Bears. Just need to say goodbye (after June 1, officially at least).

Hey, Flacco won a super bowl. I’ll take it.

now im starting to go back through the things that could have gone our way leading to a win. 3 biggest ones were Amos keeping us on the field, the 2 point conversion coming up just short, and the weird replay review that if went our way could have easily been a TD before the half.

One final note before I go and cry - Allen Robinson really came up big today and was worth everything we paid him for that performance.

I'm not ready to say Mitch isn't the guy, but for every awesome throw he had an equally awful one. He greatly benefitted from Allen Robinson's ability to catch anything within 10 feet of him

2/3 of the bears roster probably hurts women so why even care really

What the hell does this mean?

it makes losing hurt less if you remember that this is a trash sport full of bad people

But still a better gamble then keeping him

maybe - "runs" are very short in the NFL and must be consistently supported with good drafting. Not having a 1st the next 2 drafts puts us in a bit of a disadvantage in that regard, though certainly surmountable.

The bears are going to have some tough decisions coming up with guys like Adrian Amos and Eddie Goldman becoming FAs after next year and obviously Mitch's looming extension.

Mitch was pretty good today, wouldn't blame him, besides Parkey, if someone must be blamed. I lay it Amos and O'Donnell, if the [expletive] gets off a decent punt the Bears win.

Great, then move over to the baseball pages.
