It actually is. JB kind of screwed UM by taking the job in May instead of March. Michigan probably could have hired Buzz Williams maybe even Nate Oats. But Manuel still sucks and should have had a contingency plan after JB nearly taking the Pistons job last year

Very good hire under these circumstances, recruiting AAs in Chicago just got more complicated for other programs.

 

Hopefully he can retain a high % of assistants.

The Wade and James public endorsements put me over the edge. There is certainly a good deal of risk in the hire but there is a lot to like

I'm fine with this given the circumstances. Now he needs to find his offensive version of Yaklich, get his 5 star nephew to flip from Washington, get Jalen Wilson back on board, keep Zeb Jackson and recruit the horsefeathers out of Chicago with bundles of cash

 

Also, reunite the Fab 5 and get the banners back up.. horsefeathers you Mary Sue Coleman

I like the Juwan Howard hire. Hopefully for them it has similar results to how the Penny Hardaway hire is looking for Memphis early on.

 

I like the idea of a famous alumnus HC at his Alma mater. But then get sad when I think about that at IU. Our options are Steve Alford, Keith Smart, effing Dan Dakich (again), and Isaiah Thomas. Maybe the 4 worst coaches in basketball history.

I like the Juwan Howard hire. Hopefully for them it has similar results to how the Penny Hardaway hire is looking for Memphis early on.

Juwan is too busy crying to apparently hit the recruiting trail. This years team is gonna be bad if he doesn't get Franz Wagner, but if he can't bother to go to Texas, he won't be going to Germany. NIT title here we come
