well if Hamels is going to pitch out of the pen, that would also mean Kershaw would if the Dodgers win today. ugh.

Bring that on. We'll ruin his back even more

We *are* the loser. We face the impending winner.

No the winner faces the Braves in the NLDS.

And then the loser faces us and becomes the winner.

I got where you were going after I posted it, but my post was in response to two people in a row commenting that we'd face the Dodgers after they took the lead.

So Freeland on 3 days rest....

our offense is so hot and cold that this seems like a pretty good outcome? Lefty on short rest in his first-ever big game against a team that just got their cold game out of their system and is loaded with experience.

Wait until you see his soft contact rates -- you're going to love the Cubs facing this guy.

Two lefties that give up a ton of hits and no runs too.

this entire board is depressing the hell out of me more than the cubs did today (way to go guys! didn't think that was possible)

yes, today sucked and people have been/are/will be wrong/they suck/we suck/cobs suck/baseball sucks etc.

OK enough already. hopefully the cubs can do a 180 from how they looked today (they can. no clue if they will. but obviously they can). if they don't the season over and it sucks. but how long do you all need to sulk and bitch. suck it up and hope they play better tomorrow and win, hendricks is horsefeathering money like he can/should be, and we are right back where we only EVER wanted to be when this frustrating season started. God

where's that article that said ian happ is better than buehler

how do some teams draft pitchers at the end of the first round and get dudes who have three plus pitches and throw 99 and we get alex horsefeathering lange lmao

FYI no team in the NL is better at crushing lefties than the Colorado Rockies. Good luck Jon

coincidentally no pitcher in the NL cares less because it's a big damn game and he's a badass

in my cherry-picked extremely meaningful stat that I need to make me feel secure tonight, i see on BR that Lester has a .605 career ERA against the Rockies. I can't see any way this dominance doesn't continue.
