I really do think we are winning today. And I don't think it will even be a close game by the end.

You can be honest. You don’t really think they’re winning today and you probably can’t wait to gloat when we don’t win the division.

Whoa. What's this all about?

You’ve been on the “Cubs are blowing this” train for a while. You don’t get to switch now.

Barely over .500 is at least pretty damn close to a choke job given how deep this team was supposed to be, the money spent, and that they spent a good chunk of that stretch with two division rivals nipping at their heels.

Yes with how much of that money on the DL or otherwise ineffective in the case of Bryant? It’s fair to say that the Cubs blew it but there were also other circumstances that played a part.

16 home runs since 9/3... Gross.

If this disgusting display of offense doesn't rid us of Chili I don't even know what I'll do.

Yes, it was a cumulative [expletive] up.

Man, imagine how even more insane people would be if the Cardinals hadn't mercifully shot their own dicks off in the last 2-3 weeks.

their offense has been straight up terrible for a while now. they’re playing at a “90 win pace” because the pitching has been good and their competition has been a wet trash pile.

the brewers have taken care of business (and then some). but the cubs, who had like a 95% chance of winning the division like 10 days ago have, in fact, blown it.*

Rockies need to win. West tiebreaker is our only chance Tuesday

Yep, no Kershaw, Hill or Buehler (I assume he goes tomorrow) for LA and no Freeland for the Rockies (he pitched Friday).

Oh, yes. That's true. I think they will win today and lose tomorrow.

That said, why would I gloat?

1. I desperately want them to win the division if nothing more than for my pure hatred of the Brewers.

2. I get no cred for being right about that. I'm wrong 85 percent of the time and nobody gives a horsefeathers what I think and certainly wouldn't care if I was right once out of 10 times.
