Every time I see Yairo Munoz, all I can think is, "how drunk are the Cardinals that they let a baby standing on the shoulders of a really fat dog on its hind legs play baseball?"

can’t decide which excuse I’m more sick of...no off days or brewers just got hot, this isn’t the cubs’ fault.

I mean the Brewers will go 24-10 to finish the season. Sure the Cubs could have played that well but it’s a valid excuse as is the Cubs never having an off day while I believe the Brewers had 5

the brewers had a red hot finish because they played a bunch of horsefeathers, non-trying teams as half of baseball is actively trying to lose. cubs played many of those same horsefeathers, non-trying teams.

also the brewers whipped the cubs’ ass head to head.

brewers played out of their minds for a month but if you end the season losing 4/7 at home to pirates and cardinals, it’s partially on you.

Sure I’m not saying the Cubs are blameless but the Brewers have played out of their minds and the Cubs have limped to the end exhausted and filled with injuries to key players and still played 90+ win baseball most of the month

Props to the crowd for putting in way more effort than I would out there

They are probably playingTrubisky highlights on the video board

I miss the days when falling behind 2-0 in the first inning didn't feel like a death sentence.

Especially since it was this year.

Meh; they've played horsefeathers baseball (especially offensively) for pretty much the entire second half, and most benefited from the weak schedule that was supposed to be the reason they left everyone in the dust.

Yes, part of it is on the Cubs. The problem is you, 17 Seconds and a couple others are acting like it’s some massive choke job. It’s not. They didn’t go 7-20 in September like the 2011 Red Sox or 9-18 in September like the 2011 Braves. They’ll go either 15-13 or 16-12. That’s not great but it’s not bad either.

I don’t think anyone here is saying none of this is the Cubs fault. But by saying the Brewers got hot, we’re saying it’s not all the Cubs fault.

I really do think we are winning today. And I don't think it will even be a close game by the end.

You can be honest. You don’t really think they’re winning today and you probably can’t wait to gloat when we don’t win the division.

Barely over .500 is at least pretty damn close to a choke job given how deep this team was supposed to be, the money spent, and that they spent a good chunk of that stretch with two division rivals nipping at their heels.
