just for troll purposes the Brewers winning 7 in a row to end the season only for the Cubs to win their last 5 at the exact moment they needed to would be glorious

And then Colorado/LA goes into Milwaukee for a win in the wild card game

Call me crazy but I am liking Hamels big game history for Saturday. I think he figures it out and I am confident that Kyle will be nails tomorrow.

sunglassed chavez: sun never sets on a badass

Lets just hope he doesn't fly too close to the sun on the wings of pastrami

i read this a few times and i almost clicked to another tab but i just couldn't let it go

what in the actual horsefeathers does this mean?

Just a random Seinfeld comment

Cubs games on Friday and Saturday both end before the Brewers games start. Put the wins up and put the pressure on them. I think Detroit takes one, Cubs end this horsefeathers Saturday and Chatwood can start Sunday

I would so love a Sunday laugher. Although I suppose the game could mean something for the cardinals.

Cubs win Friday and Saturday

Brewers lose one of the two days (preferably Friday since we play before them on Saturday and then we could clinch with a win)

Dodgers win either Friday or Saturday

Then Sunday doesn’t matter to either us or the Cards.

EDIT: Just realized that if we win tomorrow, Brewers lose and Dodgers win, we’d be able to clinch the division and knock out the Cards with a win on Saturday.

Where would this team be without Chavez? What an amazing find.

Aroldis Chapman, as a Cub, in 2016: 1.01 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, 1.3 RA9-WAR, 0.6 WPA

Jesse Chavez, as a Cub, in 2018: 1.25 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 1.8 RA9-WAR, 1.2 WPA

Jesse Chavez has been amazing and I have no idea how he does it either. He primarily throws the fastball like 80%-90% of the time just like Chapman except he doesn't throw upper 90's/hit triple digits.

The 2003 Tigers entered their last series at 40-119. They ended up wlsweeping the division leading Twins. We’re just hoping the 2018 Tigers can win one. We got this.

Yeah, I'm hoping the Tigers can take at least one game this weekend. Not sure which game it is. I'm not counting on Jordan Zimmerman to do much lol.

Turnbull had one terrible start and one very good start. He might do well Sunday. Or it won't matter because the Brewers are already relegated to the WC.
