Lol. Been trying to get it switched to something else and am having issues.

Setting up a Gravatar account & uploading an avatar there was the only way I could change mine. :dontknow: No clue why I could neither upload an image nor link to a remote image like I used to.

Thanks!

Now that is an outstanding upgrade.

A Cubs win and a Rockies loss clinches a playoff spot for the Cubs.

and just one of them clinches playing beyond Sunday.

I wonder if the Cubs are going to celebrate if they clinch at least a WC berth? My guess is they won't, but then again this team loves to celebrate. I'm pretty sure the Cubs clinched a playoff spot a few days before they clinched the division in 2016 and didn't celebrate, but at that point the division was a formality and worth waiting for. We are getting close to formality this year but definitely less certain.

the cubs should only celebrate winning the division and if they collapse and get a wild card they should treat it like the nit and decline to participate.

good point, that would allow them to get started early on this winter's wrigley revitalization work. Get that visitor's clubhouse up to snuff.

They'll probably celebrate in the clubhouse, but I doubt it will be a media access situation.

KB bumped down to 6th. Should we be happy he isn't out again, or depressed because its becoming clear that the Cubs don't expect him to be anywhere near MVP Bryant this year?

Why is Murphy still hitting leadoff? I really hope Maddon isn't planning on making him our leadoff hitter in the playoffs.

Move Zobrist there like everyone wants. It's not hard to fix.

2018 KB would actually make a pretty solid top of the order hitter. He's still going to take his walks and he's still a very good baserunner.

Why not bat him lead off? High OBP, good base running and perceived protection for the #9 non-pitcher batter. Faster than Zo and a better base runner. Hit Zo second and it opens up the possibilities of the H&R and/or multiple base runners for the middle of the order.

The reason behind Murphy hitting leadoff has been given many times, and I kinda agree with it. Might not be the optimal order if just looking at offense, but he needs to be like a 6 inning player in the playoffs when we have a lead. Put someone who gets on base a decent amount at 9, and it's fine imo.

I’d rather risk he only gets two ABs hitting 4/5/6 but has runners on to maximize his contact ability vs guaranteeing he gets 1 AB a game with nobody on since he doesn’t really get on base.
