I don’t care if it’s true or not I’m blaming the rainouts and schedule on this potential collapse Edited by UMFan83

Fine blow the division and do the “team that knows how to win in the playoffs” wild card team run

Hopefully going the 2006 Tigers route and not the 2014 As route

My smug certainty about the Cubs being a super team has been chipped away here & there the last 18 months. A good team, yes, but not the force I had convinced myself we had after the WS.

We'll, to be fair, literally everyone on that team is worse at baseball today (whether due to injury or age or whatever satanic forces have gotten Russell and Contreras) than then - except for Javy and somehow Zobrist - and there's no legitimate reason we should've seen that coming.

Crap I was going to find 1-2 other exceptions but...you’re right

Damn. Went running and to the gym for the first time in almost 2 weeks because the heat had been so hideous here and managed to kinda forget about the game, and then figured I'd get home to a pleasant surprise, like the Cubs up 6-3 and looking fired up.

You could argue that Heyward is better (when not hurt) and Rizzo and Schwarber are basically the same guys as before. It really comes down to the 3 guys severely regressing - Bryant, Russell, and Contreras. And an unfilled hole in CF production.
