They said that and Joe also said he believes that players who grow up in places like Colorado where there's no year-round baseball tend to mature later than others. He's a big fan; not sure if enough to fully supplant 3AM but here's hoping.

It's quite possible after this game that David Bote will have accumulated more WAR than any of our starters.

326/421/522. This feels like one of those random Cardinals call ups and I horsefeathering love it.

I saw on twitter he’s at .8 WAR. He’s a good baseball player and the FO has said they liked him a lot with some of his batted ball profile/exit velo stuff in the minors

Can I change my username to Almora's ball sack and have this as my avatar?

So Joe was able to save Strop and Carl by using Duensing to get down by 5. And we only had that outcome because Rizzo was leading off and Bote was hitting 9th so that Almora could flail away in the 2-hole behind Rizzo.

Another in the this season feels like it's been mostly awful, but it hasn't really column - today was win #60 in game #102, the kind of good 2016 Cubs won #60 in game #100.

rank the wins

heyward granny

today

braves comeback

Braves comeback. Most improbable, crazy weather. Probably has to be #1

Today. Bote emergence has been a fun ride. We also might have passed Tyler chatwood like a stone.

Heyward granny was awesome. It's finally good (great) to be a cubs fan.

i swear that's like the 5th time i've seen jd predict something cool from rizzo right before it happened

He may have said it, but anyone with half a baseball brain who was watching was thinking the same thing. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. Homer or nothing.

I'd put Heyward number 2. This was before we believed Heyward might actually be fixed and it was off a lefty with two outs.

Pre Theo seasons this season would be known for its “magical” feel and we’d be getting “team of destiny” claims because of the comebacks
