A series win is fine and it’s easier to handle a gut wrenching loss when you still win the series but a sweep woulda been fun. Oh well, first place at the end of the day would also be fun

That loss still doesn't bother me for some reason. They didn't play well and were getting somewhat lucky to be holding on until they didn't.

Two out of three, especially since the wins are each of the last two.........that loss is already forgotten.

:flythew: #WeAreGood. Hell of a series win, with the setup and especially after game 1 yesterday I would’ve been happy with 1 of 3, but SuperCubs are here to stay. Go win 3 of 4 in Cincy now. Should be enough to be in first by end of Sunday.

Lester gave up 12 balls hit 95+ mph. Only 5 went for hits. He only struck out 1 guy. As dumb as yesterday afternoon's game was I think today's was just as dumb but this time in our favor.

just saw the video of Javy's unassisted double play, I'm pretty sure he knew exactly what was going to happen as soon as the ball left the bat

haha willson's fist pump after the double play tricked the camera

I showed the video to a Cards fan I play fantasy baseball with who hates Heyward since he’s a “trader” his only response was that the dumb catcher didn’t know how many outs were. I told him he was as dumb as the camera man.

That's funny. Rizzo always whips the ball at Javy when he makes a great play. There was one last year where Javy was still on the ground when Rizzo whipped it at him.

No fun! Humbug!

Sounded to me like the Dodger announcers kinda got a kick out of the Cubs’ “antics”.

Definitely. Just reading that they said "bat flip mentality on defense" I would assume it was a negative connotation. But listening to it they definitely meant it in a positive way.
