you're not allowed to win if you strand that many baserunners. you deserve this for your insolence to the game of baseball

The Dodgers have stranded more baserunners than the Cubs

THEY DON'T DESERVE TO WIN EITHER

Today's game (pending explanation) and the Bass move on Sunday are 2 of the most perplexing moves I've seen in some time.

Bryant just misses a 2 run shot, Rizzo lines one right to the RF with the bases loaded, Almora pops up with a runner on 3rd and 1 out. The 8th inning lost us the game just as much as Morrow randomly being unavailable.

Don't forget Tommy striking out with runners on second and third and one out.

Cubs played with fire a lot today and it finally just caught up.

This horsefeathers happens almost every game. They have a really good offense that can't take advantage of essentially gimme situations to even scratch out a single run to a degree that makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever.

Absolutely.

For the better part of 4 years now. This goes well beyond SSS

I hate thinking the whole game "man, we aren't gonna get away with all this horsefeathers" and the end of the game comes and we didn't get away with all this horsefeathers.

The only time in our current era of competitiveness that we were anything besides atomically horsefeathering terrible with RISP, we won the World Series. Probably not a coincidence.

JD keeps saying Morrow isn't available? What is going on.

according to twitter the dodgers broadcast was saying maddon said he's fatigued.

Again he's pitched in 1 game over the last 12 days. If he's been fatigued this entire time why isn't he on the DL?

First, if Morrow was unavailable then you don't use Cishek and Rosario for 2 batters each, so Joe is a horsefeathering moron. If he was available, Joe is a horsefeathering moron. Second, how in the ever loving horsefeathers was KB not in no doubles defense? I understand not wanting to allow the tying run to score, but the Dodgers are out of horsefeathering players, and you have a huge edge if it does go extras. Joe horsefeathers the bed in every imaginable way a manager can horsefeathers the bed in 9 innings.

plus wasn't schwarber still in the game? He at least reduces a little bit of the chance of them scoring on a single through the hole.

No, Happ moved to LF from CF

If you knew Morrow was unavailable, why would you use Cishek and Rosario so sparingly?

I'm sure he will say that he needed one or both of them to be available for game 2. But yeah imagine Strop pitching the 9th instead of Wilson.

Part of me feels Maddon doesn't care what anyone else thinks. The other part of me feels he does care and is doubling down on always trying to be there smartest guy in the room. I'm not sure which is true.

Not playing the line there may have been worse than the 'Wilson decision.
