Any realistic upgrades left on the reliever market now?

Britton, arguably, wasn’t even a top 5 option. So yes. Conley, Yates, Pressly, Soria, Barraclough, Steckenrider, Lugo to name a few.

I said realistic because most of those guys haven’t really been mentioned in too many trade rumors. In particular, the asking price on Marlins guys has been reported to be extremely high.

And hard no on Soria for me.

I want something nice for my birthday

Our peeress leader deserves a shiny new Clayton Richard on this day.

I really wanted an Eovaldi.

Same. I figured he was ours if we really wanted him. And the return wasn't that great.

I'd like Wheeler as well, but can't help but think the Mets brass is going underground now after being ridiculed in the media with their weak return on Familia. Either that or their asking price will be so high now, he won't be attainable.

No no no. Can’t even use the old “Bosio will fix him” justification

Wait, why wouldn't we want Happ given the state of our rotation? I'd love to get him, personally.

yup, same. after wheeler, he's 2nd on my list of preferred targets of what's rumored to still be available.

The only reason I don't want him is because I want Wheeler. I'd obviously take anyone other than Chatwood and be happy. And Happ is perfectly cromulent. But I really like Wheeler.

I guess it depends on what we give up. I'm just hoping whoever we get can make an impact in October. He has a 6 ERA over his last 6 starts...no guarantee that he's even in a PO rotation, and if he is he's unlikely to be a difference maker in a series in my eyes.

It’s kinda blah but Oh has been solid and I wanted him in the offseason. 10.5 K/9, 1.9 BB/9, 2.6 ERA, 3 FIP 3.7 xFIP.

Happ is probably the best starter who gets moved this deadline, and that's not too backhanded of a compliment as he's a solid 3 win guy. I think for me the issue is that because he's #1 I worry about how inflated his price will be. There also may be some diminishing returns as he's quite similar to Lester and Quintana, though that's a much lesser consideration.
