Yeah, maybe I'd feel the same about the West or East teams (besides the Dodgers) if I saw them as often as the Brewers or the Cardinals, but I'd gladly take either of them in the first round. Let those two kill themselves in the one game playoff for the honor of getting swept by the Cubs.

That would be an okay outcome. The Dodgers take out the Cardinals in the elimination game and the Cubs get revenge on the Dodgers for last year.

Agreed, we'll see how they fare long term with Schildt but these aren't the same stale-ass cardinals from 2015. I think the Cubs should be better for a while but they have good pitching and much improved chemistry. Basically breaks down like this:

 

Teams I want to face: Phillies, Rockies, Brewers, DBacks

 

Teams I'd rather miss: Dodgers, Cardinals, Braves

Well, they’re on a big time heater and I’m guessing matheny being gone is part of that. However, mostly I just don’t want to play them because it’d be so annoying to lose to them.
