Well guys, we now find ourselves alone atop the NL Central. Let's never look back. We also have the chance to win our first Crosstown Cup since 2013. I hope they allow me to spend 4 figures on celebratory gear like I did for the last thing they won, whatever that was.

 

Starting for the Cubs in this one will be their ace: Jon "How about this sh1t?" Lester. Jon has been very good in two starts since that dreadful Sunday before the ASB. Here he is with the GPA.

He'll be facing off against Mike Pelfrey, an average veteran who is having an average season. His mouth is also pretty average.

FTFY. We've been doing it all year and just now made it back to 1st.

Not doing it led to umfan blowing his glory with that inning against st Louis

What he is referring to is the 3rd game against the Braves, I ended up editing it after Bryant left the game injured, and as a result of my edit the Cubs won the game and Bryant only missed 1 game.

What's the point of even having a crosstown cup when it's always an even number of games?

Gives the White Sox something to play for for four games.

So the White Sox can have a celebration and photo op on the field to celebrate splitting a 4 game series to "win" the trophy
