"It's probably completely unfair, but...isn't LBJ a big stinky cheater who can't win on his own like Michael would've been able to?"

Sure, that's an accurate summation of my point. Good lord.

It's probably completely unfair given Jordan never had to really worry about his supporting cast (then again, of course no good player was going to come to Cleveland pre-Decision without assurances LeBron was going to stay), but LeBron essentially picking out the best situation for him for most of this decade seems like it should at least be a slight mark against him.

To be honest though, I'm really tired of having GOAT debates in every sport. I'm starting to fall into the camp of let's just let great athletes be great without constantly having to calibrate our all-time lists.

The supporting cast nonsense should have been put to bed when LBJ took a starting lineup of himself, Ilgauskas, Drew Gooden, Boobie Gibson, and Sasha Pavlovic to the NBA Finals. It really should've been put to bed when he went 2-3 in the FInals with support from Timofey Mozgov, Tristan Thompson, Dellavedova, and Iman Shumpert. And then he and Kyrie Irving beat the best team in NBA history last year.

But, oooh that jerk didn't want to play with Jamario Moon as his #2.

I think Lebron did most with the least but that doesn't mean he's better than mj. He also had great teams lose in the finals to pretty average teams in the scope of NBA champs and then obviously beat one of the best ever teams. Jordan had a consistency of dominance.

Was the Jason Kidd nets the worst supporting cast in finals history?

what about the AI sixers?

Yeah that was an aggressively mediocre group. Winning game 1 in LA was nuts

I don't really care for GOAT debates in other sports but for whatever reason I enjoy the hell out of evaluating basketball players that way. There's a certain romanticism when it comes to the individual in this sport. I guess it used to be there in baseball but really isn't as much anymore and it gives me a reason to still be a meatball.

They at least had a still pretty damn good Mutumbo. Definitely worse than the Nets though who had Martin and not yet dead Kittles & Van Horn, with Jefferson replacing Van Horn the 2nd year.

No Kawhi Leonard, no Tony Parker and you lose by 40 ast home in an elimination game. Way to show up, Houston.

DaBum's teams will never win anything

The Warriors have gone from America's team with curry being some kind of demigod to having all of America wanting lebron to horsefeathers down their throats in less than a year

Not this guy. LeBron and his flopping whining ass can get swept for all I care.

Man would have been so cool for the Spurs to have won that game. I don't really care who wins the series, I just want to see a good horsefeathering series. Now with Leonard's injury, the Warriors will probably sweep.

On the other side, I don't really see any team beat the Cavs, but for some reason I see the Wizards giving them a slightly more competitive series even without home court. Rooting for Washington tonight, but this series has seen home team win every game, and every game except Game 6 was decided by double digits so Boston probably wins.

I like every player on the Warriors except Draymond and that's enough for me to hate that team.

Going in I thought the Wizards could challenge the Cavs but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Celtics battle them too. They're very well coached.

i want the warriors to win every game

i also rooted for the patriots to go undefeated

I want some parody in the NBA. I mean, it's kind of cool to have a sport where the team who wins the championship, you feel is the best but the whole knowing who's in the finals before the season starts thing gets a little lame.

well it's annoying that boston got the #1 pick, but the sixers pick #3 and have their own first round pick plus the lakers first round pick (unprotected) in 2018, and their own first round pick plus the kings' first rounder (also unprotected) in 2019. that's about as good a shot as you'll get to become one of the 3-4 teams that has a chance to win in the stupid nba in any given year.
