Mmm, I like Wade Davis. I sort of feel like he throws too many cutters though. (like I know what I'm talking about)

When he's on the cutter is unhittable and he doesn't need another pitch.

Also looking at the pitch values on fangraphs, it appears to be a great pitch. Don't mind me.

Don't feel too bad. I watch the Royals almost as much as the Cubs.

Doesn't he kinda have a few variants of the Cutter too? Yes it gets classified as an overall Cutter but he'll change speeds on it a bit and sometimes make it move more laterally (cut more) or vertically (drop more)? So it's one pitch but has 2-4 different versions of it?

Yeah. It's not the same movement each time he throws it. Looking forward to listening to Len and JD talk about it because all Rex Hudler did during Royals broadcasts was try really hard to come up with stupid catch phrases. "Wader, check please!"

if Dave Roberts, proud owner of 'babby's first manager job', can figure out to use the closer on the road in 9th+ inning ties, I'm only gonna get more irritated when Joe doesn't

Instead he did my favorite managerial move: ""I'll use my closer in the 9th in a tie game, but not until I place him in a situation that is near impossible to escape."
