Tough night when the number one guy you want up at in that situation hits into a DP.

he's the guy you want up in that situation?

Absolutely. When all you need is contact and not strike out.

LOL. Guys I would prefer in that situation:

Bryant

Rizzo

Schwarbs

Contreras

Russell

I honestly think I'd rather be 2-2 with this bullpen performing as well as it has opposed to 4-0 because we donged the other teams into submission.

Normally I would say that's crazy talk, but there are so many guys with huge upside but big question marks in that bullpen. They've pretty much all looked great to this point.

Rather a k than shitty contact. You need power above all

To each their own I guess. Zobrist has arguably the best eye on the team and doesn't strike out in those situations too often. We needed contact to move the runners along, it just didn't work out.

This feels like game 3 of the NLDS where Montgomery eventually loses, but I feel more sorry for him than anything that the offense was unable to take advantage of things and Maddon decided Montgomery would be the last pitcher to be in the game.

Pretty much knew that was coming as soon as Contreras lined up for a dirtball. For all his strengths he's not much of a ball-stopper.

Not really. It's a 162 game season. The bullpen has been encouraging
