College baseball has been in full swing for awhile.

Anyhow

Latest BA rankings:

Latest d1baseball rankings:

Same Top 5, but different order.

I don't follow that closely anymore, but I don't love Florida State's pitching.

Huge weekend series - UNC vs. Virginia. Virginia's lineup is it's usual solid self, and the pitching has looked good so far. Sperling was highly touted a couple years ago. Really quite remarkable for UVA considering how badly the draft stripped their recruiting class last year (top 3 all gone ... a rarity for UVA). I'm going to be very curious how good Bukauskus is ... I'm not a huge fan as a starter ... he reminds me of Carson Fulmer a bit ... but I guess the Sonny Gray comps work .... he'll be facing a good, patient UVA lineup so it's a good test for him, and will be curious how often that change comes out.

He plays for UCLA's rival but man, do I love watching Nick Madrigal play.

Would be great to see the Cubs pick him in 2018 but I imagine he'll be a top 10 pick despite his size.

Well, I've got some good news for you.

That is a horribly god awful call/rule that, that runner from 3rd isn't allowed to score on that play

The call was correct. The rule in that situation is what is tough. I'm not complaining though, as that absolutely killed LSU's momentum and kept Lange from making another amateur appearance. I would have rather the Gators not won, but I'll take it.

What’s with these dumb belt pads that some NCAA teams are wearing?

From watching part of a Mizzou game last week, they appear to have index cards with signs on them.

Dislike.

I knew this would be here when I opened the thread. I screamed so loud at my firm that my secretary came blazing into my office thinking I was dying or something.

The thing about that video is this: Top 8, Ole Miss up 3-1. That pitcher came into the game with those runners on second and third with no outs. He then K’s the next two batters. Then has a two strike count on that batter when the insane error takes place. So Georgia ties it up. The pitcher is left in the game and K’s 5 of the next 6 batters and gets the win when Ole Miss goes ahead in the 10th. So 7 K’s in 3 innings for that dude.

What an epic brain fart though. For his sanity alone I’m glad Ole Miss ended up winning.

Diamondbacks 2018 first round pick Matt McClain is playing center this year for UCLA and already batting fifth behind potential 2019 first rounders Chase Strumpf and Michael Toglia. Had the go-ahead bases loaded BB last night on an impressive 9-pitch PA:

Lots of 1 seeds in danger today.

Georgia Tech

East Carolina

Louisville

West Virginia

UCLA

Stanford

Georgia

NCAA won’t be pleased when more than half the teams in Omaha are SEC teams. PAC-12 not doing a good job this postseason.

Unreal, Michigan on the verge of upsetting the number 1 team in the nation. Tied 3-3 with 2 outs and the LF Brant Browns a routine fly ball to allow UCLA to score.

Bet you loved that Raisin. This might be the first Michigan baseball I’ve ever watched so my emotional attachment is minimal but damn

Edit: oh and the Cubs 2nd round pick strumpf was the batter

Thank God UCLA won it in 12 but I'm still pissed the home plate ump fucked up two straight obvious ball 4s for UCLA with the bases loaded in the 11th.
