I fully expect them to attempt to make something up after next week's game but because of their delay Howard will get Johnny Knox'd and then proceed to be suspended for PEDs.

This is actually awesome. With these injuries I can only see maybe 1 more win at most, against SF and even that is very iffy at this point. The other 5 teams are all in the mix for playoff spots. 3-13 or 2-14 is probably likely which will almost certainly mean a top 3 pick.

 

So now we can bitch about the Bears management blowing high draft picks instead of the Bears players blowing the chances of a high draft pick with meaningless wins.

FWIW it sounds like he played through it on Sunday and he made a few very strong throws on that final drive.

 

Not that that necessarily says anything about the long term impact of the injury.

as someone who has lived through a torn labrum and one that's been surgically fixed... I feel for the guy. it sucks. the rehab from that was by far the most painful couple of months ever. it hurt so bad I vowed to never get my other one fixed so I just deal with that pain

 

it happened to me when I played CF so I didn't have to frequently make hard throws. I used to tell teammates I was good for 1 throw a game so I had to make it a really good one. then I'd turn my back to the field and cry like a little baby. it usually took a solid 2-3 minutes to fully regain feeling throughout my arm and hand
