I tried to retweet this only to discover that Paul Sullivan blocked me on Twitter at some point. Lol.

Join the club. I had no idea I was blocked by him until a couple of weeks ago -- I didn't even say anything bad to him, lol.

not sure if it is just b/c they've beaten us 3 times or b/c I'm just now seeing this regularly, but the chief wahoo thing is crazy stupid. pick a non-racist logo, dorks.

they've scaled it back big time. not sure why they haven't gotten rid of it altogether already.

Anybody think the Cubs lineup with Schwarber added to it, better BABIP luck, coupled with 2nd time facing Tomlin, 3rd for Kluber & short rest for both are about ready to explode for 6+ runs both games to win a ring!?

How awesome would that be if the Cubs just dominated the last 2 games and made them relatively stress free? Everyone else that's not a Cub fan would hate it, but I'd like a 10-1 and 8-2 game 6 and 7 or something like what we did in Games 4 and 5 in LA.

Seriously though, I really hope that if we were to lose its in Game 7 not Game 6. I want to feel that nervous energy all day knowing that my team can win a championship that evening. Plus I've never been able to watch a Cubs game on my birthday before. Just get it to game 7 please please please.

^^^Unfortunately, many people w/ whom I've argued about Chief Wahoo would be perfectly fine w/ those other 2 options for team mascots, if you catch my drift.

same. February birthdays aren't good for that

same. but 2 weeks of rain delays and all that will change.

they hold the all-star game on my birthday nearly every damn year

This is totally happening: I walked into the supermarket after work and guess what was playing over the intercom?

"We Are Family"

Has to be a sign right?

That you've been sucked back to the 1970's? Maybe

I hope Javy stops taking swings that make him look like Tucker from There's Something About Mary reaching for his keys.

Would we realistically ever want Lester out of the pen in a 9 inning game?

The only scary thing is holding base runners in a 1 run game. I don't worry about that in a start but when manufacturing runs is critical it can be a concern.

Considering Rondon is broken and Edwards would probably only pitch in one of games 6 & 7, I can definitely see a Game 7 where Hendricks is lifted in the 5th, and Lester comes in handy to bridge the gap to a 2 inning Chapman save. Is he absolutely necessary? No, but if the alternatives for the 5th and 6th are Grimm/Montgomery, Lester looks more appealing.
