That was a garbage garbage strike one and Jesus why are you taking that

I think Bryant saw the catcher set up so wide and assumed it would be out of the zone. But Jansen badly missed right down the middle.

Must be horsefeathering nice to have an extra 3-6 inches tacked on the strikezone. Call me a meatball, but my eye-test showed the dodgers pitchers getting at least 10 calls that the cubs pitchers didn't.

we win that game if a ball Baez hits goes for a homer more than 60% of the time is a homer and we didn't even play well in the game

ah well

Don't like Gonzalez taking a pitch in the zone for K 1 it gets called a ball and then he hits a 1st row HR. Then our best guy gets the bat taken out of his hands twice by the HP umpire. I'm beyond angry right now. One of the worst one sided HP umps I've seen in a long time. In a 1-0 game it was huge

That was a pretty pitiful performance by our offense. Didn't work counts deep. Didn't make hard contact. Didn't make adjustments against Jansen. Seriously, he throws HARD. You have to shorten up your swing and try to string hits together.

Come on, guys.

Best of five where we only see Clayton once still strongly favors us. Big pitching advantages the next two games...put them on the ropes.

But this is a best of 7 and we will see Kershaw twice if we don't sweep LA.....and maybe even still then.

Really curious to see how the Dodgers plan to go SP wise. For game 4 and 5. I'd put money on Kershaw going game 5 on 3 days rest (unless the Dodgers are up 3-1).

Agreed. They should have worked counts against a guy that only had 1 3-ball count all game. Should have also been able to make hard contact and string multiple hits together against a pitcher that nobody makes hard contact and string multiple hits together against.....nevermind the fact that the Cubs did actually make a decent amount of hard contact.

This is garbage analysis. You can't work deep counts if the opposing pitcher doesn't throw pitches out of the zone. You can't shorten your swing and make hard contact at the same time, and you continue to have no clue as to how offensive players actually do things.
