If the Dodgers advance, go Cleveland. Screw the Dodger fans in my office.

You make a great point, but...

horsefeathers Cleveland and horsefeathers Lebron James

...this is also very valid. I'm so torn.

Good thing the Cubs are winning this thing.

If the Cubs aren't in it, I won't watch it and don't care who wins it.

Yup. Baseball season ends when the Cubs are done. I haven't watched a world series in my lifetime.

Yeah ok, sure Mike Golic

Yeah, at this point, I'll probably watch the World Series. I didn't watch the one in 03 and had we blown the Giants series, I wouldn't have watched the rest of the playoffs this year. But aside from some epic collapse (and I don't mean normal playoff crapshoot stuff like 2008), I'll watch the rest of the playoffs.

Sorry I'm an ass and am rooting for the Dodgers if the Cubs don't win. If the Indians win, the next most recent championship drought (as in teams that have won one before) becomes the 1979 Pirates

So what?

It bothers me. I realize its a minority opinion and makes me sounds weird.

I watch the World Series when the Cubs don't have any shot at it. The years we have been good, though, I'll barely catch a few innings.

I've been pulling for a Cubs-Indians WS all along, knowing that no matter what happens, some team would break a lengthy drought.

I think it's a sort of cool storyline but I honestly couldn't give two shits if Cleveland breaks their drought, especially if it's against us.

Cleveland got lucky enough to have the best basketball player of his generation be born in the region and feel beholden to it, and most of them are also Ohio State fans. They've seen plenty of titles in the last 15 years.

I'd be glad to see the Tribe win if the Cubs lost to LA, but I can't say I'd care that much.

I'm a tad bummed that the Cubs' (maybe) first WS in a billion years is going to be against a team with a dumb name and logo that probably won't exist once we get our heads out of our asses.

If you extend that range back to 20-25 years, Chicago had freaking Michael Jordan. And even more recently, Chicago has 3 Cups from the Blackhawks.

I may be a racist white man but I will literally not be the slightest bit bummed out about that if it comes to pass.

Like not one iota.
