Holy horsefeathers this Tennessee team is the luckiest team I've ever seen.

If another set of goalposts was put up next to the other one, A&M's kicker would have still missed that game winning attempt.

Rutgers got 2 first downs, 39 total yards, were 2-18 passing for 5 yards and were 0-17 on third down.

How did that team actually beat an FBS team?

The only thing more amusing than watching Brian Kelly and perhaps ND's entire program going down in flames is the fact that every single horsefeathering one of the teams they keep losing to are also losing to everyone they play

Also, Michigan can beat everyone 78-0 but they're not going to the playoff without beating Ohio State. MSU being garbage + 8 home games means their schedule is soft as baby horsefeathers this year.

In a related story, I'm extremely bitter Michigan fell ass over tea kettle into an outstanding coach because his previous employer was a moron. As if this CFB season didn't suck enough.

Yeah sucks Colorado lost today. Really need them to keep doing well as well as Wisconsin obviously. That said Michigan probably wasn't going to go to the playoff without beating OSU regardless of their non-conference schedule as the powers that be don't seem to favor teams that can't make their conference title game.

Probably would have beat iowa if their best player doesnt get hurt.

Rutgers does suck....but I also think OSU and Michigan are quite good

Yeah, beating Notre Dame just hid MSU,so problems for a week. I knew Sparty was going to have a down season, but I am wondering if they will get bowl eligible

I didn't think Texas would still be in the "Haven't beaten an FBS team not named Notre Dame" group after today, but I'm cool with this.

Notre Dame must get more benefit of the doubt than any other program. How often are they ranked high in the preseason and end up with a crap team? Seems like it's every season.

Sometimes they are ranked high and end up with a decent team

How much is Illinois paying Lovie Smith to go 1-11?

He has almost no lovie smith players. The tampa-2 is heavily dependent upon personnel.

I guess we could just say that the blue bloods always get the benefit of the doubt. Georgia is certainly a good one. LSU as well.

LSU is sometimes great. Georgia is perennially ranked top 10 preseason and perennially loses 3-4 games

I could probably name half of the preseason 2026 Top 25 right now, in no order:

Alabama

Notre Dame

Oklahoma

Texas

Florida State

Southern Cal

Michigan

Ohio State

LSU

Georgia

Stanford

Texas A&M

Arkansas

Oregon

I barely feel like defending ND because they're garbage, but someone, I forget who, went back the last 15 (I think) years and found that ND was basically underrated in the preseason rankings just as often as they were overrated. What is definitely true is that ND is a school that is prone to inspire in-season overreactions (see Texas leaping to #10 for beating them this year).

Texas A&M doesn't play Texas. What's your point.

And one major reason they don't play is because your last athletic director was an absolute bozo who Swarbrick hates. Of course if that bozo was capable of hiring a decent coach, they wouldn't have had a vacancy when Harbaugh miraculously became available, so maybe it was a grand plan.

The real point of all this is that my team is done as a contender for now and for God knows how long, so bitching about the good fortune bestowed on teams I hate is all I have.

That was sickening to watch. I'm not shocked he missed but I think anyone on this board could've done what he did on that attempt.
