Completely crazy. And it was his first HR all year.

An unforgettable sports moment. It definitely got dusty in my house watching that

Wilson Ramos appeared to have suffered a serious knee injury, and Dusty Baker didn't sound too optimistic about his chances of returning any time soon. Sucks for a player to go down with an injury, but should the Cubs meet them in the playoffs, Ramos was one of their key hitters all season long. If he's out for the rest of the year the Cubs may have caught a little break should they face them.

Confirmed, torn ACL. Tough loss to lose an .850 OPS catcher for the playoffs and probably start of next year. The one small benefit is they go from a slightly below average pitch framer to an above average one.

Either way, the Nats are still dangerous but I think the Dodgers are now the clear top challenger to the Cubs in the playoffs, although one series at a time.

at this point i'm rooting so hard for the mets to clinch and clinch early.

and i'm almost positive that as long as they have the spot locked up, even if they still have home field up in the air, they'd sit thor on Sunday for the play in game.

fg has them at 89.5% to take one. magic number is 4.

Yep, rooting for the 3 way tie as well. Throw them all on the field and make them fight to the death for the privilege of losing to the Cubs in the NLDS.

i really don't think playing an extra game hurts them all that much.

for entertainment value, i'll root for the craziness in the AL.

Doesn't help them at all.

Plus the 3 way tie is more fun to watch.

The biggest downside would be the travel. In the Mets’ case, it could mean, at worst, this: playing the season finale on a Sunday in Philadelphia, then Monday in St. Louis, then if they were to lose, Tuesday in San Francisco, and then if they’d win, it’s back to the actual wild card game Wednesday in St. Louis.

All for the right to walk gasping into Wrigley Field on that Friday to begin a best-of-5 NL Division Series against the big, bad Chicago Cubs.

i'd much rather root against having to potentially face the best pitcher in the NL twice in 5 games. i'll root for madness in the AL for the fun.

plus the mets with thor only once is my ideal opponent so i'd like to lock that in

yeah, still don't think that helps our chances more than assuring syndergaard doesn't face us twice.

apparently the forecast in philly this weekend for the mets is looking really bad and there might be some craziness with doubleheaders. i don't even want to begin to try to wrap my head around what that would cause.
