The Cubs were going to celebrate anyway and obviously they schemed that the most fun way to do that would be a comeback win and walkoff. lol brewers. i think the brewers think it's a big deal when they beat the cubs but the cubs don't care bc the cubs are awesome and just kind of in cruise control mode now. In fact, the brewers mentality is sort of comparable to that of a child...

well that makes sense because they will deploy that kid who made the impressive jump from the LLWS to MLB in 2 years. There are stats and you can look them up if you'd like but does it really matter at this point? plus I'm lazy.

 

 

yep. that's a greek god. and guess what? jake also hasn't really been trying super very hard this year because the cubs are already too good and manfried had to talk to theo and joe and discuss which players would not try very hard this year so the cubs didn't clinch back in early august. but, now that they've clinched jake will be going back to god-mode to ramp up for the playoffs. this is also the same for heyward.

 

pretty sure jake got hammered after the game yesterday but he doesn't give a horsefeathers and he doesn't get hangovers.

Last I checked Cogs has been a net positive as a Cubs (owing to, bizarrely, his defense this year), I do like how he's gotten on base. I don't see how he makes the playoff roster though.
