I can only include 30 so I decided between Schwarber and Joe Smith, and Smith lost. Vote up to 5.

I really need seven votes. And that's only because I'm willing to say f pitchers.

Rizzo

Contreras

Bryant

Russell

Baez

Soler

Schwarbs

I included Ross as my 5th guy (over Russell) because he's just been so much fun this year.

I was just wondering to myself..."how many votes would I have to be given before I reached Lackey?"

I lost count before I got there. Somewhere near 30, I'd imagine. He beats out Wood, for one.

Rizzo, Russell, Bryant, Javy, Hendricks.

I would've picked Schwarber instead of Hendricks but since the poll specifically said 2016 Cubs I cheated a little bit as he hasn't been playing.

Ross, Contreras, Arrieta and Lester are in the also considered category.

Next question, how far down the list of players do you have to go before you hit one towards whom you feel disapproval or indifference?

For me, it's 22.

For me, it's 22.

Cogs at 24 is where indifference kicks in.

Lackey at 28 is where disapproval kicks in, though I recognize his and Aroldis' contributions to the team.

Man, this is too tough. I go back and forth on this. I've always loved Rizzo, and then Schwarber came along and quickly became my favorite. And then it was Russell. And Javy is so fun to watch that it's sometimes him. And how is it not Bryant? How do you not choose the guy with such an exceptional talent? It just shows how amazing this team is where Bryant, despite being the MVP, doesn't have to be the default answer. We are so blessed.

Also, I would like to show a little love for Jon Lester. I'm not his biggest fan. I'm not wowed by him like I am by Javy, or KB, or Arrieta last year. But, I've heard so much meatball nonsense about him from meatballs that I personally know that it's driven me in the other direction. Like, when I hear people complain about his W-L record last year it infuriates me because it's stupid. But, knowing that people don't like him for such a stupid reason makes me root for him more. And all the stupid crap about him not being able to throw to the bases... it annoys me, but it annoys me more that people care so much about it. So I'm just thrilled that he's put together such an awesome season, even if it's what he's done his whole career.

I'll echo this, too. I really wasn't a fan last year. There was the whole thing about Miggy actually being good last year and him not. The Lester-can-only-pitch-to-Ross thing seemed kinda silly. But, Ross has been great this year. And he's been fun. And his teammates love him. It's just a great send-off for a great dude. Him actually helping us is the cherry on top. How has the guy we saw last year been this good at this age?

Yeah...I had absolutely zero love or expectation to love Ross this year. Now there's a part of me hoping he doesn't go, or at least sticks around in a coaching capacity.

Is Miggy getting points here for his #WeAreGood mantra from last year?

General Twitter and personality awesomeness. After all, this is based on how much we like them.

There is a decent gap after Schwarbs, then another one after Hendricks.
