I can understand deep dish being too much for some stomachs. I cannot understand outright thinking it is not good, because it's awesome.

I hate admitting this but I've just never liked deep dish. I don't necessarily dislike it, and I will eat it if served to me, but I would never choose to order deep dish pizza on my own.

Edit: But since I'm a loyal chicagoan, I will fight to the death for it.

I'll always pick a good NY/New Haven-style slice in the great pizza wars.

This. I only have it like once or twice a year, but it's pretty amazing.

Sorry to change the subject back to baseball, but put Contreras in the line up instead of Ross and that would be the maximum damage line up if the Cubs are lucky enough to make it to the WS.

contreras and ross would be a good name for a pizza joint

Nothing in the world better than a slice of NY Style the size of your head, folding it in half long ways and eating it without so much as a single napkin, much less a fork.

Deep dish is rather inconvenient.

So do I eat pizza, BBQ, or nachos tonight?

All 3?

I chose to compromise and make everyone happy. I am having fish tacos.

It's much easier to find good brisket outside of Texas than it is to find good deep dish outside of Chicago.

That's because there's no such thing as bad brisket.

I'm about to eat some good brisket. Cubs better win tonight because of this.

And it's too easy to end up with a deep dish that is little more than sludgey pizza cake.

Game day says their pitcher throws about as accurately as I do. Is this right?

He seems to be a bit wild, but his curve is nasty at the moment.
