Lol we won a 1 run game against a probable playoff team where our starter went 4 innings and our 4 best relievers were unavailable.

Who is #4?

Grimm and CJ are probably on the same level but:

1) Joe seems to use Grimm in a more prominent role than CJ and

2) it sounds cooler to say "4 best relievers" instead of 4 of the 4-5 best relievers

woah CEJ interview

she keeps calling him CJ, but he doesn't go by that any more, does he?

maybe he just wanted his name to be Carl Edwards Jr. professionally, but he still goes by CJ. Because, maybe I'm off here, but I have a feeling Kelly Crull wasn't following the Cubs minor leagues back when he was CJ.

Apologies for the earlier spamming...computer issues.

At this point I'd bet on the Marlins and the mets to make the two wild card spots just because they're the only two teams who don't have to play us the rest of the year.

3 more with San Fran, 6 (lol) more with the cardinals, 4 more against Pittsburgh. Also, sorry Houston, but you probably won't be invited either.

Haha, just accidentally switched to the White Sox game to hear Hawk lamenting the fact that Bryant was leading the MVP race when Todd Frazier is only a few HRs and RBI behind him.

Edit: Stone brought up Arrenado and Hawk cut him off and said he was talking about Bryant and Frazier

One of my biggest worries the rest of the season is getting through the Cardinals series without any of our guys getting hurt by getting intentionally thrown at

Damn. I've spent all evening researching where to allocate my IRA from my 401k, and refinancing my student loans... I missed this entire game.

We had 1 inning pitched by a guy who will definitely be on the playoff roster, and he was a rookie going for his first career save. We started our nominal sixth starter, as we are giving an achy veteran some time off. They started their $90 million free agent addition. When it came time to go to the pen, they went through their usual litany of bullpen arms. They made multiple relief changes in the same inning, hoping to set up their usual 8-9 finish. We threw out some rookie who has been here for a couple weeks and let him go two innings. And then we let some guy who just showed up today go for another two innings.

This coming after that one game we won while resting two of our five best regulars. Oh and we let our $200 million man rest for a whole weekend. We are coasting like you wouldn't believe, and we are still steamrolling teams and widening our lead.

Sure, they can have Lucroy...but no other position is really close aside from the OF...and that's actually close.

As for the rotation being even.......if you line up all the starters by xFIP, you get 5 Cubs before you hit a Ranger.
