I've now switched rooting modes and am completely cool with the Cards and Dodgers playing a really long extra innings game no matter who wins.

Go 18! Use starters in relief!

Cardinals get a bloop double in the 15th after a blown missed-strike call. Because of course.

Listened to about 15 minutes of the Cards radio broadcast in the car on the way home from a River Cats game and the Cards PBP guy sounded half dead (or more likely drunk because it's the Cards). Just no excitement at all about anything. I know it was the 14th inning but the color guy had plenty of life in his voice.

It's Mike Shannon, so yes, likely drunk. Also needs to be punched in the dick because he seemingly intentionally mispronounces player's names. Maddox instead of Maddux most notably.

I'm surprised no one commented on the bat flip and casual trot around the bases since we all know Wainwright and company would have completely lost their horsefeathers if someone had done it to them.

BFIB twitter covered it pretty well. I also saw some stuff locally where fans were complaining about the bat flip and calling it classless and were rightly told to shut their pieholes. Most of the people I choose to associate with around here get it and don't care at all about bat flips.

I hate the Cardinals and am enjoying the first inning but I almost, kinda feel bad for him.

Not as bad as his Grandmother

Why yes, yes it does. I feel bad that he didn't give up more. Also the espn crew talking about how he got to experience the leadership of the cardinal way in this experience in the majors has made me want him to fail.
