Did James Shields grow up hating the White Sox? Because I've heard of guys having a rought adjustment period to a new team, but he's been beyond brutal.

This goes back to before the trade

I'm very much enjoying this TEX-STL series. Texas won yesterday 1-0, and now STL blows a 3-0 lead in the 8th to go down 4-3 in the 9th.

Rosenthal is also walking nearly 8 guys every 9 IP, which is something

and the Rangers have had replacement level production at the two easiest spots to fill, and possibly the best hitting prospect in the minors, MLB-ready who can play either spot

Yeah it's just too bad it all came together for them during the Cubs juggernaut era.

The Rangers are also 5 games above their pythag, Desmond is the only regular with a wOBA over .340, and A.J. Griffin is the only SP they have with a FIP below 4.20. That's unfairly painting them in a bad light, but they aren't going to win 100 games.

"Well, he's , he's the only player I've ever seen, when he was with us, as we've talked about it yesterday. When he was playing second base, there wasn't a better second baseman in the league. When he was playing shortstop, there was not a better shortstop in the league. When he played third, there was not a better third baseman in the league. I've never seen another player like that."

Shields is the first pitcher to allow 7 runs before the 4th inning in 4 straight starts. No pitcher had done it in three straight starts since 1894.
