Meh, that's a groundball, can't get on Richard too much for that. Now Miggy's refusal to do anything besides backhand breaking balls in the dirt, allowing a slow runner to get to 3rd, is a different story.

if La Stella has a better arm, he can play a bit deeper and has a shade more time to react and probably gets that ball.

Now, that pickoff is on Richard. If he steps off and holds the ball, he's got him in a run down. By throwing to first, he makes it a challenging play.
