Weird, on Twitter someone said Grimm was warming up and not Rondon. Guess its moot now.

Rondon was up, but not throwing. Then he sat and Grimm got up. Then Rondon got up again, but still didn't throw. Then he sat back down.

I feel we really need to make some deals with these guys before LaRussa and Stewart are canned.

Goldschmidt for Vogelbach, McKinney and Pierce Johnson

He's easily athletic enough for LF.

Theo is so good he decided he'd do this dynasty without picking on the mentally deprived.

He basically built the two best teams in baseball.

What if Rondon actually has a debilitating, career-ending back injury and they are just keeping him on the active roster and not telling anyone, in order to force the position players to keep playing screw the closer, since they hate Rondon so much?

Don't need him for anything else besides getting screwed.

What if Rondon purposely made himself super annoying and hateable, so that the rest of the team would create 'screw the closer' and score more runs?

That would explain the rumors of Rondon doo dooing in everyone's gym bags. He's just playing his role and earning his salary. Its Chapter 42, article 17, paragraph 9, verse 2 in The Cubs Way......Thou shalt horsefeathers when called on for the good of the team.

Cubs go on a semi rocky stretch, go 4-8, then immediately go on a 9-1 steak with unhittable starting pitching lol

I'm still kinda shocked that this team was able to go through a 4-8 stretch.
