So...

The Mets lost 2-1 today. But that's not the funny part. I'm not sure I've ever seen a team take 13 walks in one game and only score one run.

So that's why I've never seen it:

Today's win is only the 2nd since 1913 where a team won a game with their pitchers combining for 13 walks and one or fewer runs allowed.

So combined with their 7 hits, the Mets had 20 baserunners in 13 innings and only got 1 run. I suppose hitting into 5 DPs will help with that.

It looks like Trea Turner is getting called up.

First thing he should do is buy Dusty some fishing tackle, get on his good side. Otherwise, he'll probably ride the bench while Dusty continues to trot out Danny Espinosa & his stellar 68 wRC+

I thought about that but Dusty loves him some speed.

Pretty sure only CF'er speed matters to him.

RA Dickey has to have the pretty uncommon 4 IP 0 H 1 R 5 BB and 0 K line

I mean, for a knuckleballer, its not THAT weird, but still pretty lol

Pirates lose. Magic Number: 100.

A week ago people were worried because the Pirates were beating up on the Braves, Rockies and DBacks. Now they're 9.5 back.

Posted
also, this could be the second time in a week that a team with a 99.9%+ chance of winning ended up losing.

Biggest comeback since the Mariners blew a 12-run lead to the Indians in 2001.

Let's be honest - there were like 5 people worried and we could all guess their names.
