ok, smart guys. Why can't Hammel keep this up for a whole season? Is it conditioning?

He dealt with that hamstring/leg injury last year and I think he never completely recovered from it in season and he self admitted in the offseason he needed to get in better shape as he has worn down the previous 2 years and worked on strengthening his legs/lower body.

SOLER!

Also, Grichuk looks really uncomfortable going back on the ball.

they have four fielders who are downright bad in the positions they're currently playing (adams, diaz, holliday, grichuk). they're scoring runs, but they're definitely going to give some back in the field.

supposedly he did some things in the offseason in hopes of carrying through his performance in the second half.

take with a grain of salt.

if the cubs are running away with the division in the second half, i'd be happy for them to skip his spot in the rotation a couple of times. he'd be a big asset as the fourth starter in the playoffs if he can pitch anywhere close to the way he's been pitching in first halves the last 2-3 years.

Idk if the numbers support it but has Bryant been hitting the ball less to RF this year? Seems like he's pulling more on balls in play and fouling off balls he's trying to go to RF with.

There's an ad up for chainsaws at the cell and it says "rips through ivy"

Wasn't ivy in the outfield initially a Comiskey park thing?
