Javier Baez is incredibly likable

He's got all the weirdness and childishness (in a good way) of Starlin Castro, so he fills that gap this team needs

I'm convinced that there is no player in the major leagues that is better at applying a tag than Javier Baez.

He's an athletic freak. With those quick hands, he has the makings of a terrific boxer. He has also had some very fast baserunning times according to a couple tweets I've seen over the last week or so.

I think it would be prudent for me to change what I said last night:

Now it's time for Javy to do what he was born to do. If Soler isn't going to be giving dong lessons 2x a week as I thought he would, then I'd like to see Baez blow up and take this offense to the omega level.

Which is funny because he has no idea how to slide.

Did you already forget his game winning slide last week?

Yes I remember, I just also remember the multiple times he's injured himself or otherwise made himself look silly while sliding.

I am convinced he has the ability to stop time.

He truly is the Zack Morris of the Cubs.

This sounds like a commercial in the making.

Does the burger prank make Soler Screech?

Awwwwwww.

Kawasaki has to be called up just to be Screech.

Does that mean Jake is AC Slater? Totally ripped, good at everything...

David Ross is Mr. Belding. Joe Maddon is Max. John Lackey still hasn't transferred over from Valley yet.

if rizzo were zach and belding were theo, we could call the red sox JFK junior high and francona miss bliss

theo as mr belding is a huge reach, though.

Lackey is Tori, because his presence will always be confusing and uncomfortable.
