Blackhawks playoffs 2016: The games finally mean something

The concern is that if the Blues get excellent goaltending they can win the series. They've never got that out of Elliot or Jay Gallon before so it remains to be seen if they can actually do it now.

 

Yeah well he led the league in save % this year and was pretty damn good last night. The Hawks have solved extremely difficult goalies before though.

Man, I thought for sure the Hawks were going to steal game 1 without Keith and put the Blues into a tailspin earlier than expected this series. Hawks will figure out Elliot soon enough. Even if they were to drop tomorrow's game, I won't be too worried. Q will make adjustments as the series moves on, just hope Man [expletive] sits in the press box for the rest of eternity.

this is what I love about being a Blackhawks fan. Struggling in the regular season is barely worth discussion. Falling down a game in a series, a minor stumbling block. Falling two games down in a series, not too worried.

exactly, i'm almost so low stressed about these playoffs that I feel guilty about it. I'm sure if/when the Hawks advance to the WCF my stress levels would shoot way up.

Me, too. Guilty as charged on being spoiled, but, whatever. Doesn't mean I won't appreciate it if they advance, but for the first time ever, I'm rooting for a team in a postseason without being completely disappointed/angry if they lose. It's weird. I was never like this about the 90s Bulls because any time after 91 (MJ years only), I knew they had the best team every time they were in the playoffs and anything besides a title would have been a huge disappointment.

 

That being said, going out to the Blues would still suck and I'm sure my tone will change if we get to an elimination game.

NHL needs to figure out a way to show the Blackhawks games during any time except during Cub games. Last night, I watched 3 innings of Cub baseball, paused, watched the first period of the Hawks, switched to the Cub game during intermission, went back to the Hawks game for the second period, back to the Cubs game during intermission again, back to the Hawks for the 3rd period, back to the Cubs game during overtime intermission, back to the Hawks losing, and I still had the 7th, 8th and 9th innings to watch after the Hawks game ended.

Some St. Louis Blues fans were unpleasantly surprised Wednesday when their Dunkin' Donuts coffee cups mistakenly bore a Blackhawks logo, proclaiming it the "Official coffee of the Chicago Blackhawks."

 

Accorinding to St. Louis' KMOV, a statement from Dunkin' Donuts claimed the mix-up was "due to an untimely shipping error." The cups were no longer being sold.

 

"It's disgusting," one fan told the station.
