i still don't know all the hockey rules even though I've watched my whole life but i don't see how that's overturned.

So you can challenge a reviewed goal, huh. Seems redundant.

I think they review different things whether it's Toronto or on the ice. Not really sure though but I'm sure we will hear a lot about the replay system over next few days.

Oh the nerves of trying to kill off a playoff game.

That ended immediately.

2 inconclusive plays given to the Hawks at crucial moments. Blackhawks announcers given the national treatment. Remind me why I even watch

Idk what the hell happened. I was watching and the blues went up 2-1 and I changed the channel. Then I checked nhl.Com and it said 3-1 Hawks lead late in third which quickly changed to 3-2 final. Then I came in here, read this page and got more confused.

Guys, this isn't that hard. The refs got it right...he was offsides.

His back skate is in the air, so that means that he is entirely across the line before the puck is entirely across that line.

If his back skate was on the ice, he'd be considered still partly behind the line, and then it would've been ok. Plenty of debate if that's how offsides should work, but it's how it currently does work.

I'm impressed that Chicago caught the offsides at all. It took way longer for the officials to determine it was offsides than it took for someone on the Hawks to see it. On top of that, the offside really had no impact on how the Blues scored that goal, but hey, rules are rules.

And the Shaw goal wasn't just clean, it was awesome!
