Great spray tan. Was she wearing plastic gloves in the booth?

Man, you are sofa are observant. I didn't notice either the first time through

What I can say about that video:

- Solid shot composition

- horsefeathers editing. In the beginning Russell just cuts into the shot without fading in, and then is followed but cut ins of overlays that make no sense. If they all faded in together it would look smooth

- Color correction is pretty oversaturated, which probably accounts for the spray tan look. Whoever color corrected it isn't very good at color correcting

- Please keep letting the businesses in the city of Chicago give you endorsement money so you never leave us, Addison.

Addison's last half season (roughly...79 games):

.258/.341/.491/.832

16 HR

14 2B

58 RBI

.276 BABIP

Jeepers, that .233 ISO. Rizzo's 2016 ISO is .255. Harper's is .209.

It's also great that the commercial loops. Just click the button and let Addy's smooth jazz go as you peruse discussion of his dominance. Now he just needs to make it his walk up song and watch the scotch endorsements roll in.

What's the story on the BABIP being so suppressed? Bad luck, or a change in his hitting profile?

his expected babip is .292, so it's probably fairly representative (he is top-15 in MLB for IF flies), though it is exciting to note his expected wOBA (.338) is a decent amount better than his real-life results (.324)

I'm salivating thinking about what this kid could turn into. In the second half this year: .261/.325/.478 with a 19.7% K% in 228 PA.

There was this article awhile ago about him tapping into his power:

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/here-is-a-powered-up-addison-russell/

But, there's other good stuff going on, too. For instance, his contact rate. His contact% since the break is 75.6%. And it just keeps going up:

http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs.aspx?playerid=14106&legend=1&statArr=107&split=base&time=game&ymin=&ymax=&start=2016&end=2016&rtype=mult&gt1=30

And that's coming while his ISO keeps going up:

http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs.aspx?playerid=14106&legend=1,2&statArr=40&split=base&time=game&ymin=&ymax=&start=2016&end=2016&rtype=single&gt1=30

I'd like to see him walk a little more, like he was earlier in the year. He's been way more aggressive. But you can't really argue with the results. Still, he's freaking 22 and he keeps improving at things that he wasn't so great at, to go with everything that he was already great at. He's going to be a monster.

No, I saw that, but Heyward Fan and someone else were talking like this is a thing that has been ongoing and people have been talking about.

He's struggled a bit with it recently, but nothing I'm worried about. He had one game in particular where he made 3 bad throws and got bailed out on at least one of them by Rizzo.

AND THEN JOE BENCHED HIM 2 GAMES.

In all seriousness, he has definitely gotten more rest than other regulars. That combined with the throwing issues, makes me wonder if he's nursing some nagging injury.

Seager (3.2) and Machado (2.2) only SS with higher WAR (and SLG*) since the break

*Brad Miller has only played a handful of games at SS
